BCHS Students Attend Model UN

This past weekend, 21 students from Barrhead Composite High School attended the High School Model United Nations (HSMUN) conference at the University of Alberta. Our delegates represented countries, debated global issues, and worked together to draft resolutions with students from across the province. We are proud of the leadership, preparation, and professionalism of our BCHS students!

Outdoor Ed 9 build Quinzees

Building a quinzee (or quinzhee) is a classic Grade 9 Outdoor Education project that perfectly blends physical activity, Indigenous history (Athabaskan origin), and physics. Unlike an igloo, which is built from blocks, a quinzee is made by hollowing out a settled mound of snow.
