Grade 11 Ski Trip – Friday March 22nd 2024

Who? –  Grade 11 BCHS Students only! (in good standing regarding school attendance & no school suspensions) – if you have questions on this, the student should contact administration to ask!

What? – Participate in a 1 day ski trip: 

Cost requiring rentals – $110, (rentals, lift ticket, 1 hour lesson, & transportation)

Cost if you have your own equipment – $85 (lift ticket, 1 hour lesson, and transportation)  You must take the mandatory ski lesson to participate in this trip – according to ASAA rules which is included in the cost.  

Reminder: This is a school trip and school rules apply: No alcohol, No drugs, No vaping….

Food?  We would like you to bring lunch (there will be bins outside where lunch bags can be stored)  Marmot basin has a no outside food in their buildings policy.  You can bring money for lunch, just know the cafeteria is fairly pricey.  

We will be stopping on the way home for supper in Edson so spending money will be required.  Some breakfast bin snacks will be provided on the bus.

When? – Friday March 22/2024 (Leave BCHS@ 4:30 AM, Return to BCHS@ approximately 9:30 PM)

Why? – 2 years ago, the grade 9 ski trip to the mountains was cancelled due to Covid 

How? –  Parent/Guardian is to log into their POWERSCHOOL portal (not the app!)

On the Menu go to payments, consents and forms.

Then under the EVENT TAB fill out the ski trip form that includes a  consent and make payment online (or make payment at the BCHS office)  

We need a minimum of 30 students to sign up  and pay for the trip in order to make it happen (maximum 80 students.) The final day to sign up and pay will be Thursday March 7th.  Information regarding rentals and lift tickets must be sent in 2 weeks before the trip.  If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Bondarchuk (Room 47) or Mrs. Schaffrick (Room 52).
