Graduation Check In & Steps To Applying For Post Secondary (Fall 2026)

This information has been shared with BCHS current Grade 12 Students in their Post Secondary Google Classroom and I am sharing this with parents / and former students (please see the bottom note as to how your steps are different) through the website.On Wednesday this week, BCHS Administration met with the Grade 12 students in the Drama Theatre. The students were handed their Detailed Academic Report – “DAR” and a worksheet to fill out. They were asked to share this information with their parents / guardians. The students also need to go to their Grade 12 Google Post Secondary Classroom and complete the google forms survey – acknowledging they know what they need to graduate in June. There is also room to ask any post secondary questions, and whether the student have access to their myPass (this is how they view their DAR on their own.)

Are you or is your student applying to post secondary in Alberta this fall? (for Fall 2026 entrance?) Most Alberta Post Secondary Schools will open up their application portal on October 1st. If the program that the student is applying for is a “first qualified, first admitted program – I would recommend applying shortly after midnight on Wednesday October 1st. Please see the specific steps in the google presentation below!

Steops For Previous BCHS Grads

The process for the students who graduated in June 2025 is relatively the same except you no longer have to enter all of your grades, unless you are upgrading courses currently or are planning to upgrade. Please note it is important to register before September 30th if you want to upgrade with BCHS or any other school in Alberta. Contact Mr. Sekulich for BCHS or Vista Virtual or possibly Barrhead Outreach School ASAP
