Welcome Back

We hope everyone enjoyed a safe and restful break.  High school students are reminder that Semester 1 is winding down and final exams are quickly approaching.

Please take note of the exam schedules that follow.  BE PREPARED – be in class, ask for help, get a tutor, review your notes, study with a friend, use Exambank (www.exambank.com, Username: phrd.bchs, password: sound) or check out Diplomax at www.diplomax.ca or diploma exam prep at www.rockthediploma.com.

January 2018 Final Exams for High School Students

The last day of regular classes for Semester 1 for all Senior High School students will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018.  In school final exams will take place as follows:

Wednesday, January 24        Block 1 classes according to Monday’s schedule

Thursday, January 25                        Block 2 classes according to Monday’s schedule

Friday, January 26                 Block 3 classes according to Monday’s schedule

Monday, January 29              Block 4 classes according to Monday’s schedule

Tuesday, January 30              Exam make up day

Semester 2 for Senior High School will begin on Thursday, February 1 and Options for Junior High students will also change on that day.  Regular classes for Junior High students will continue through the Senior High exam period from January 24 to January 30.  There will be no classes for any students on January 31 as it is a PD day.

PHPS Satisfaction Surveys

In January and February 2018, Pembina Hills Public Schools will be administering their Annual Satisfaction Survey.  Parents, students, and school staff will be surveyed.  To obtain parental feedback, PHPS staff will be contacting the parents of each student by telephone starting early January.  The questions asked are aligned to specific outcomes in the jurisdiction and school education plans.  Thank you in advance for your participation and comments.

Senior High Drama Production

The BCHS SH Drama class is presenting Beauty and the Beast on January 18-20 with performances at 7 pm. Tickets are available at the school’s main office for $10.

Grade 7-9 Spring Tour 2019

“Experience the many attractions on display in three of Canada’s grandest cities. Explore the European flair and historic downtown core of Montreal. Study the majestic architecture of Quebec City. In Ottawa, you will get a glimpse behind the scenes of Canadian politics with a visit to the Parliament Buildings.” Students from Grade 7-9 have the opportunity to travel to these cities in the spring.  Please contact Mrs. Sabiston for further information.

U15 Boys Club Volleyball

If you were born after September 1, 2002 or later you are eligible to play U15 club volleyball.  If you are interested in playing please contact Mrs. Sabiston.
