School Parent Council

School Council Special Presentation: Turning Point
In lieu of a School Council Meeting, the BCHS School Advisory Council is pleased to host in conjunction with BCHS, a Drug Awareness and Education Evening. It is called: Turning Point, Taking Control in the Face of Youth Drug Use.
As a parent, you cannot underestimate the difference you make in the life of your teen. You are the first line of defense when it comes to your child’s health, and helping them avoid abusive drug use and drinking. No one knows your child like you do, nor has all the answers when it comes to how to raise safe and healthy teens. To help you navigate this time, the Barrhead Composite High School Parent Council is putting together an evening on Monday, February 26 aimed at supporting you and providing information or answers to questions you may have about youth drug use. We have organized an open panel with a few of our community resources including representation from the RCMP, AHS Addictions Services, and Pembina Hills Public Schools. Please join us at 7 pm on February 26 in the BCHS Drama theatre for a night of information on drug use and new drug laws that are coming into effect in the next year.
