The Gay Straight Alliance is back up and running again this year.  ANYONE interested in joining us, we meet every Wednesday at the Public Library for lunch.

Leadership Group

Leadership will meet in room 32 on Wednesday, September 13th to plan for student activities this year! This meeting is open to grades 7 – 12.



SADD will be having its first meeting Friday September 16 at lunch in Mrs. Ladan’s office (across from Student Services) Come check it out!

Littering is against the law and violators are subject to fines. Please be advised that anyone caught littering may be fined.


Rules on Vapes and E-cigarettes

E-cigarettes or vapes could contain illicit drugs and as such, any e-cigarette or vape found on school property will be considered drug paraphernalia.  Students who bring such items to school will be subject to consequences under the school board's "Unauthorized/Illegal/Stolen Substances/Items" policy (AP 50-12).

Student Parking lot

Effectively immediately, there is to be no loitering in any student parking lot during class time. (This includes no sitting in vehicles in the student parking lot during class time)

We also have physical cards available in the school for $10. Students can get them from Mrs. Carr (Room 16).


Sr High Announcements



Please note temporary access to the north student parking lot is available through the west staff parking lot until further notice. This will be increase traffic and therefore you are advised to use extreme caution when driving in and through parking lots.


Fall Natural Science Camp

September 28 after school through October 1 at Black Cat Ranch (near Brule). In three and a half days get 3 credits in the picturesque Rocky Mountains! There are 2 Forestry credits and 1 Wildlife credit. Cost is $200 before we leave but $50 will be refunded when you complete all 3 credits. See Mrs. McGinn or Mr. Raju for more details! Forms are available from the office.


Loran Scholar’s Foundation

Renewable for up to four years, with a total value of $100 000. Each Loran Award includes: - an annual stipend of $10 000 – a matching tuition waiver from one of 25 partner universities – personal mentorship from a Canadian leader – access to their network and up to $10 000 in funding for summer internships in three different sectors – an orientation expedition through Algonquin Park – annual retreats and scholar gatherings. They also grant approximately 104 finalists and provincial awards to promising candidates who are not selected as Loran Scholars.

Application are now open and available online at https://apply.loranscholar.ca There are two ways to apply for the Loran Award, with different deadlines.  School Sponsored – Oct 18, Direct Pool – Oct 25 See Ms. Wegner if you require sponsorship or more information.


Open House Information Booths

The representative for Careers: the Next Generation and the regional coordinator for Green Certificate are planning to be available at open house to answer any questions you may have about RAP, RAP-X and Green Certificate. Ms. Wegner will confirm their attendance that day, but if you are interested in either, you and/or your parents should attend and speak with them.
